Beader's Resource Guide Social Network
The Beader's Resource Guide social network is a sister site to the Beader's Resource Guide, which you can access by visiting this link [http://brg.wall.fm/index]. In order to participate you will need to become a member of the BRG social network and set up your member profile. (Unfortunately I can't embed it within this site.)
The social network will give us an opportunity to build friendships and groups, and interact in a less formal manner.
I have a few ideas of things we can do with the network, but if you have anything you'd like to suggest, please feel free to add some comments here and we can work on new ideas together!

I live in upstate New York. The winters are long and perfect for beaders to stay indoors and feed their creativity. I am looking to join and/or create a beading group. Not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.
Hmmm. I belong to a thriving one locally that was created many years ago by 8 women and there are over 240 of us now! Do you know people who bead? Is there a bead store near you that you could check with? Are you on Facebook? There are a bunch of groups on Facebook dedicated to making jewelry of all types. Look for Jewelry Makers and Bead Lovers, that's a really nice one. There are others too. You may be able to connect with people locally that way. You could always try Craigs List, too. Our group meets at a library - if your local library has a message board maybe you could post a flyer on it looking for other beaders?
